Jaguar Class
(Miss R Long- 6.2)

Autumn Term 2017
This half term we are travelling to South and Central America. We will learn about some of the countries in this part of the world and their capitals cities. We spend time learning about the rainforest, rivers and hurricanes. As part of our topic we will design and create an exciting funfair ride that could be installed at a theme park in one of these countries. We will need to use the knowledge and skills gained from our Science lessons on electricity to help us with this. In French we will learn vocabulary related to travel and in Music we will learn songs related to the theme of travel. When singing we will explore rhythm and melody. In Computing we will continue to develop our understanding of coding and e-safety through Purple Mash.

Please do download our Information Booklet to find out more about the routines and expectations in Year 5. You may also wish to take a look at the Y6 Curriculum Map, which shows you the topics we will be covering in different subjects over the course of the year. Please do talk to us if you would like more information.
