Welcome to Year 6

Panther Class

Jaguar Class
(Miss R Long- 6.2)

Spring Term 2017
This half term, our topic of Fairtrade will help us focus on the global society in which we live. We will have opportunities to find out where our food comes from while learning about the communities and places where it is produced, sustainable development, the power of the individual and interconnectedness. We will design and create our own Fairtrade chocolate products, which children from younger years will be able to sample. We will also look at financial capability by considering what money is and how it is used, what it means to earn money and to differentiate between our own wants and needs.

Please do download our Information Booklet to find out more about the routines and expectations in Year 6. You may also wish to take a look at the Y6 Curriculum Map, which shows you the topics we will be covering in different subjects over the course of the year. Please do talk to us if you would like more information.
