This half term during our Ozzy sessions in reception, we have been playing with Ozzy's favourite ball. We threw the ball for Ozzy as far as we could and then we learnt the command 'Ozzy come' to get him to run back to us. When he is then next to us, we used the command 'Ozzy drop' so he drops the ball ready for the next person to throw it!

This half term, we have been learning about 'People who help us'. We have met a fireman, sat in a fire engine, had an Awesome Smile Dentist Day and learnt how to brush our teeth. We have also met a nurse, policeman and sat in his police car. We have loved learning all about these different people who help us. We have learnt that if we are in an emergency we must call '999'.  We have also spent time learning about the similarities and differences between all of the jobs and decided which is our favourite!

This week in Reception we have been celebrating Chuseok, Korean Thanksgiving. We learnt about what Chuseok was and why people in Korea celebrate it. We then coloured pictures and made our own Chuseok meal plate by cutting and sticking. We tried on some traditional clothing before playing a whole class game of tug of war to celebrate.
