WELCOME to Queen Emma Primary School, part of the Queens’ Federation
Queen Emma is a large thriving primary school and nursery situated in the south of Cambridge city. We have a diverse catchment area and have many families from abroad (speaking 42 languages at the last count!). Queen Emma is partnered in a federation with Queen Edith, which is a 5 minute walk away. It is led by one headteacher, senior leadership team and governing body with representation from both schools.

As an inclusive, welcoming and caring school, where every child matters, we recognise that all of our pupils have strengths and skills to celebrate. Part of our role is to help each pupil discover and develop these. Our school values, based on the ‘7 Habits of Effective People’ by Stephen Covey enable us to create a strong community spirit, where we can all grow in a supportive learning environment. Y1 have been experimenting with different paint brushes to see the range of brushstrokes we could create. As well painting in their sketch books, they also painted on fabric, coloured paper and textured paper to see the different results they could get. https://t.co/KRzfZfAxNB

Falcon Class enjoyed online safety day and watched the BBC live lesson about AI. They matched up true/false statements about AI and made a poster. They also made cautionary tales about online safety using a Goldilocks story as their model. https://t.co/XaCjBe6ZBR

Ozzy came into school this week for his first settling in session. He met the whole of Owl Class two at a time. They followed all of the dog mentor rules and enjoyed giving him a stroke and feeding him a treat. https://t.co/laBEDGN7Dl
